สวัสดีค่ะ (sawadeeka)

Finally made it in Bangkok!! Here’s my beautiful room at Rembrandt Hotel & Towers, just off of Sukhumvit Road. My experiences of Bangkok so far are pretty limited (I haven’t made it out of the hotel yet!), but there are a LOT of cars. Which only seem to have a max. speed of 50mph. And nutters on mopeds. The city looks a bit like some whacko architect decided to build a load of skyscrapers in the middle of a rainforest, too. Bizarre, but I guess it works. Criticism of the traffic system and architecture aside, there is one thing i have learned in my first day in Thailand (besides ‘hello’ – the title of this post): I can now safely say that I would wholeheartedly recommend a Thai massage to anybody. Now, I’m not saying it’s not 90 minutes of absolute torture – where my entire body was at the mercy of some incredibly strong Thai woman, pushing and prodding my muscles into shapes I never thought possible – but I left the spa feeling absolutely invigorated (if not ever so slightly disappointed that I wasn’t even offered a ‘happy ending’) 😉 Anyway, off for an early one now… Have booked a class at a Thai Cookery School for tomorrow morning and anyone that knows me will know that this in itself is a recipe (sorry) for disaster!! Xo.

Looks like you have some beautiful accomodations. Would love to make it to Thailand some day. Especially for that massage you’re raving about! Cheers! Safe travels.

Dear Stranger, I found the book you left. “One Hundred Names” I will pass it on as you have asked. Finding it made my day. I hope it will continue this way for other “strangers”.
